Everyday Evolution
Resolve to Evolve
Next cohort: Starts 7pm (AEST)
Tuesday 23 June 2026. Live on Zoom.
Limited to 12 participants.
You set the goal. You meant it. And for a while, maybe it worked. Then life got busy, the habit slipped, and you were left with the familiar feeling that you just did not try hard enough.
That story is wrong. Willpower is not the problem. The approach is.
Most self-improvement asks you to add something to your life: a new routine, a new practice, a new version of yourself to maintain. The effort of maintaining it is exactly what makes it collapse.
Everyday Evolution works the other way. Instead of adding something, it changes how you experience what is already there.
Learn to notice the life you’re living.
Everyday Evolution is built on a simple idea: real change doesn’t come from pushing harder or setting bigger goals. It comes from paying attention.
Willpower alone doesn’t form new habits. And you don’t just want to change. You want to evolve.
Early bird: $108 for the first 5 signups. Full price $198 after that.
The Approach
Evolution, not resolution.
Resolutions ask you to become something. Evolution is what happens when you start paying attention to what is actually here.
Through simple, direct shifts in attention, done inside moments you are already living, your commute, your coffee, your walk between meetings, you begin to notice more of what is actually happening. Not as a technique you apply. As a way of moving through your day.
One simple, achievable resolution: to evolve. Resolve to Evolve.
What you will learn
Four weeks. Four live sessions. One practice that fits inside your existing day.
Week 1 — Enter through the senses
Learn to interrupt autopilot by directing attention into what you can actually feel, hear, or see. One sense per day, using journeys you are already making.
Week 2 — Name what you notice
Introduce the breath as a gateway into sensory awareness. A slow nasal inhale shifts the nervous system into a more open, receptive state. Then a single soft word for what you find deepens the contact.
Week 3 — Stay when it is harder
Bring awareness into stress, boredom, and friction. Not to fix those states, but to notice what is actually there before the automatic response kicks in.
Week 4 — Integration
Reflection, troubleshooting, and a clear structure for continuing independently. You leave with a personal practice summary and a reference card for everything you need.
What’s is included
Everything you need, you already have.
Four live 45-minute Zoom sessions with Evan Shapiro
A small cohort of no more than 12 participants
A personal practice summary completed in the final session
A practice reference card to keep
Recordings of all four sessions
Direct access to Evan for questions across the four weeks
About Evan
I was not looking for a mindfulness practice. I was trying to fix myself.
I grew up on independent cinema, junk TV, and a healthy disregard for doing things the conventional way. I came to meditation sideways, through curiosity rather than crisis, and trained formally at Three Jewels in New York after nearly two decades of personal practice.
My professional life has been about communication and making things: building brands, producing podcasts, designing experiences, helping organisations bring ideas to life. Mindful Kookaburra is where those two worlds finally sit in the same room.
Everyday Evolution is the course I wish had existed when I was looking. Not because I needed something easier, but because I needed something honest. No performance of calm. No sense that you have to become a different kind of person. Just your actual life, attended to more carefully.
Meditation teacher. Trained at Three Jewels, New York. Based in Wollongong, Australia.

FAQs
Do I need any experience with mindfulness?
1
None at all. The course is designed for people who are curious but have found traditional approaches hard to stick to. No prior experience is assumed or required.
All sessions are recorded and available within 24 hours. You will not fall behind.
2
What if I miss a session?
How much time does this take each week?
3
The live session is 45 minutes. The daily practice takes no extra time because it uses moments you are already living: your commute, a walk, a coffee. The minimum is one breath and one moment of noticing. That is it.
No. The approach draws on the science of attention and habit, not any religious tradition. You do not need to hold any particular beliefs to benefit from it. You just have to be a human being.
4
Is this religious or spiritual?
What if I sign up and it is not right for me?
5
If you attend the first session and feel it is not a good fit, get in touch and I will refund your place in full.
Will there be future cohorts?
6
Yes. If the June cohort does not work for your schedule, drop a message to start@mindfulkookaburra.com and you will be the first to hear about the next one.
Is my life already full of moments worth noticing?
7
Yes.
